Upon reading the directions of this super duper moisturizer, you may think you are in the health and beauty supplies by mistake. The directions will tell you how to apply to cow’s udders for cracked teats and after calving. But once you open it and get a whiff of the summer day like freshness and rub a little into your hands, the cows will have to wait, you’ll want it all for yourself.

“Udderly Smooth” is a wonderful skin softener, and hydrater. It is luxuriant feeling, smells like sunshine, absorbs nicely and is long lasting.Just a little goes a long way, and it’s greaseless and non-staining. I found it gentle enough for my face in daytime, under make-up, as well as my hands,feet,and any dry areas.It works well for extra dry, cracked feet and leaves skin with a soft and supple feeling.

I found this at Trader Joe’s(they always have the good stuff!).I also see this available here in a 10 oz. jar with a pump,Udderly Smooth Udder Cream, Skin Moisturizer, 10 Ounce Jar with Dispenser Pump but if you want to skip the pump and get a couple of more ounces instead, Trader Joe’s is the better deal. That way you can try just one jar without paying the shipping costs.

Ingredients: Allantoin,Dimethicone,Lanolin Oil, and Propylene Glycol in an Emollient Base.

This 6 pack(12 oz each) is an excellent deal and when I added it to my cart, I noticed it was eligible for the free shipping deal with qualifying purchases.

Well, now I know what REALLY makes those cows in the dairy commercials so happy! And Oh Yeah…”Do not use on parts affected with cow pox….”

I first found this “Udderly Smooth Udder Cream” sitting on a sundries shelf in my local Trader Joe’s Grocery Store. Out of curiosity, I picked it up and read the instructions. They explained about how to clean the udder, apply the cream and treat teat problems. What is this? And what is it doing in Trader Joe’s? I just had to buy a jar to find out. Well, there was nothing on the package to indicate what humans might do with it, so I just had to improvise.

First, it seemed to work well anywhere a good lotion might apply. It makes an excellent hand cream, for example. It’s one of the best I’ve ever found. My fiancée suggested that I rub her feet with it and she loved it. What next? Well, I read an account of a fellow who shaved with it, so I just had to try that too. It worked quite well. I doubt that it will displace my regular shaving cream, but if I ever run out I know exactly where to go in such an emergency. Another person suggested it was a good after-shave treatment. It is. It wasn’t too long before I tried it as a personal lubricant. It’s the best I’ve ever found. This stuff is amazing! It’s a WD-40 for the skin!

The cream is soft, smooth and slick, yet it isn’t greasy. It has a pleasant, mild odor. It cleans off readily with water and doesn’t leave stains. About the only negative I can think of is that I don’t particularly care for the taste of it.

Since my initial discovery, I’ve found it in several pharmacies, several more grocery stores and at my local Ace Hardware. My fiancée reported she found it in a sewing goods shop. Amazing. Still, it could be hard to find if you’re specifically looking for it. The cream comes in a variety of different containers. I usually buy the original 12 ounce jar, but I’ve seen smaller jars and various tubes. This is a great product. Use your imagination.

Well, I was initially confused by the directions telling me to wash udder and teat parts. “Why,” thought I, “do I need to wash my teats just to put lotion on my hands?” Nevertheless, I went ahead and did it.

Anyway–the lotion works great on hands, feet, pretty much any body part I guess, to keep your skin soft and supple or to heal chapped or chafed skin. I’ve found udderly smooth works better than any other lotion I’ve tried!

Words of caution: keep out of your eyes. it hurts. Bad. Also, don’t use on any of your parts infected with cow pox.

I found it first in a quilt shop. I haven’t used anything else since! It absorbs into the skin so well that I never have that “I’m greasy, I’d better not touch anything for an hour” feeling! It has relieved some occurances of excema for me too - I just put a “glob” of it on & let it sit for a few minutes before rubbing it in. Not only did it stop the itching, but after about a week, the spot was virtually gone! WooHoo!!

And if you have a small purse, buy a contact lens case & squeeze some in each side - the case is waterproof & doesn’t take up much room, plus it will hold enough Udderly Smooth for several uses!

This moisturizer works well for dry skin in the winter.

It is made by the same company as Udder Cream, but it is different. I compared the ingredient list, and this product contains the same ingredients with the addition of Vitamin E Acetate and Aloe Vera. It also seems to have a significantly higher concentration of water, which actually makes it feel much greasier until the water evaporates.

Given that this product seems to be a watered down version of a Udder Cream, which I prefer, I would not purchase it again.

Recommended to me by a nurse who grew up on a dairy farm. She treats hard to heal wounds on my feet and ankles that result from a condition called, “venous insufficiency” (poor circulation). This “Moo Cream” does a great job in keeping the intact skin surrounding the wounds soft and supple as opposed to dry and cracking open.
